Dear Warringah Resident,
After five years of autocracy, I believe the Warringah community deserves a new Mayor and Council that has integrity, a social conscience, experience and above all, listens to the community. My team and I possess these attributes and will deliver results for Warringah in the following key areas:

Financial Management : Our number one priority is to ensure Council |

remains in a strong financial position. Therefore, under our Funding First Program we will guarantee that Council never operates at a loss, and all our initiatives are fully funded. Warringah Council has approximately $3.3 billion in assets. Under our Funding First Program, I will immediately conduct a comprehensive review of Council assets, to ensure that they are secure, used optimally, and the best possible return is achieved for the community. Key outcomes of this process will include improved services and funding for new initiatives. |

| 2. |
Social Infrastructure Investment : Warringah’s social infrastructure is in |
| |
crisis. There is a huge shortage in childcare places, many of our sports fields and community amenities are a disgrace and youth services inadequate. I will fast-track projects held up in Council bureaucracy, reduce childcare waiting lists, modernise sport and recreation facilities and expand youth services. Funding for new initiatives will be provided through our Funding First Program. |

Environmental Leadership : Warringah is custodian of some of the most |

magnificent natural assets in Sydney – our beautiful beaches and bushland. I will ensure that these are protected and that Warringah takes local leadership in the area of combating global warming. |

A Fair Go : Warringah residents pay a lot of tax. I will fight to ensure that |
| |
we get our fair share back from Canberra and Macquarie Street. I will work cooperatively with Federal and State governments to get major projects moving, starting with Brookvale Oval and the new Northern Beaches hospital. |

| 5. |
No Over-Development : The last thing the community wants to see |
| |
is a return to the heady days of the developer free-for-all that existed under the last elected Council. I will ensure that development in Warringah is sustainable. |
On 13 September, Warringah residents have a chance to make a difference. My team and I are offering a fresh approach for Warringah and a chance to have a strong, responsible, experienced Council that listens to the community and puts Warringah First.
